"Deceptive Billing Practices Encountered"
I recently had a rough time with a company that was up to some sneaky billing tricks. It was really disheartening to see such shady behavior from a business that’s supposed to be trustworthy.
When I first signed up, I thought I was getting a single license for $14.00 a month, with an annual fee of $180.00. Little did I know, my subscription actually came with three licenses, racking up to $540.00 a year. I only found out the real cost after I got the bill the next day, which left me in a bind since I couldn’t cancel in time. Even after I canceled my account, they refused to give me my money back.
As a result, I’ve filed a complaint with both the FCC and the FTC, and I’m in the process of disputing the charge.
"Unethical business tactics are misleading and unfair."
The details shared on their site are not accurate about the real price of starting an account. They promote a business account at $14.00 monthly, billed yearly, but that's not the whole story since the actual fee is $42.00 each month. You can't just grab one license for $14.00; you gotta get three licenses for $42.00 monthly. This kind of practice is just plain wrong and unfair to the customers.

"Deceptive trade practices are unethical and misleading tactics employed by businesses."
The information provided on their website is misleading regarding the actual cost of opening an account. They advertise a business account for $14.00 per month, billed annually, but this is deceptive as the true cost is $42.00 per month. It is not possible to purchase a single license for $14.00 per month; instead, one must buy three licenses for $42.00 per month. This practice is deceptive and unfair to customers.

"No Help at All: Scripts Are Totally Broken"
They'll tell you your storage's maxed out, no matter if it really is or not. Even with just 5 music files in your folder, they'll insist you've used 99Gb out of 100Gb.
It's almost funny if it weren't so frustrating. Plus, there's zero customer support to be found. You can't get in touch with anyone through email to sort out your issues; your only choice is to post questions in a Community Forum where everyone else is just as lost and unhappy.
Box.com feels like a total scam, no doubt about it.

"Absolutely no support provided. The scripts are completely broken. It feels like a blatant attempt to grab money."
They will inform you that your storage is full, regardless of whether it actually is or not. Even if you only have 5 music files in your folder, they will claim that you have used 99Gb out of your 100Gb.
It would be comical if it weren't so disheartening. Moreover, there is absolutely no customer support available. You cannot reach out to anyone via email to address your concerns; your only option is to ask questions in a Community Forum where everyone is equally confused and dissatisfied.
Box.com is a complete scam, plain and simple.

"Issues with Box's Google Workspace Integration"
Box provides a level of security that surpasses many cloud services, which is why we opted for their offerings. Sadly, we've run into a bunch of problems with how it works with Google Workspace, and their customer support has been pretty much non-existent. We had given Box a shot about five years back but left because of their lackluster support. After a security scare, we thought we’d try them again, hoping things had gotten better.
To our dismay, that wasn’t the case. Even with all the features they promote, we can’t open any Google docs in Box, and their support team hasn’t been able to fix this. Plus, getting a quick response that doesn’t waste our time has been a real struggle.
From what we've experienced, we can't suggest Box to anyone. The product doesn’t work as promised, and we’ve been refused refunds while still waiting for help from their tech teams. If you thought software companies had issues before the pandemic, they sure haven’t gotten any better!
**EDIT** I found a simple workaround that their tech team should’ve checked first for anyone dealing with this problem. I’m happy to help anyone who needs this solution!

"This place uses sneaky tactics."
I honestly feel duped into signing up for a box account, and I've been billed for it for over a year. I really don’t need their service, so what was I thinking agreeing to it at all? I guess I should've paid more attention.

"You won't get rid of them entirely..."
If you're looking to unsubscribe, it ain't a walk in the park. Even though I haven't used their services in ages, out of the blue, I started getting emails from them. The whole unsubscribing ordeal has been a real headache, since they make you jump through hoops instead of just letting you click a button. Plus, their replies never really tackle the issue at hand. I made it clear that I wanted to be removed from their list because I no longer have an account and just want the emails to stop. But all they said was, 'I can confirm that you don't have an account with us.'
"Robbers"
Robbers! A total of 90 euros has been taken from my account. I didn't get any confirmation about the payment that was supposed to happen, and there was no notice telling me I’d be charged for anything.

"I canceled my subscription, but they still billed me."
I signed up and put in my credit card details for the trial, but soon figured out it just wasn't right for me. So, I tried to cancel my subscription through a pretty tricky process on their site. I got in touch with their customer service, and they promised me that my 'membership' was all set to be canceled. But then, to my shock, just four days later, they attempted to charge my card $540.00 for a team of three, even though I'm just one person. Thankfully, my card was locked at that moment. I reached out to them again, and after a bunch of emails, they finally got back to me saying that as a 'courtesy,' they would go ahead and cancel my account and not bill me again. Well, okay then.

"Customer service here is just the worst!"
Honestly, this is by far the worst customer service I've ever dealt with! If you're looking for help, just give up now, 'cause they’ll just keep you going in circles after taking your cash, and your problem will remain unsolved.
"Decent Cloud Storage, But Watch Out!"
This cloud storage provider is alright, but it really just has the basics. Honestly, it might be a bit pricey for what you actually receive. Just a heads up: if you opt for auto-renewal, you won't get any refunds, even if you cancel on the same day. It feels like this feature is more about the company's profit than making it easy for you to check and approve another year of service.

"This shopping experience is a total joke."
The experience for users is just terrible. It feels really clunky. Trying to check out an album on a phone is a total disaster. Just moving to the next page is ridiculous. There's no good method to sort the content.
"No reply after my inquiry about the free non-profit package."
About a month back, I contacted Box to ask about creating a business account with their non-profit package. I had a video call with a sales rep, and it went pretty well. The rep suggested a mid-tier paid package and promised it could be ready by the end of the day.
After that, I shot over an email saying that the free starter package would suit our needs best. But even after sending two follow-up emails, I haven’t heard back in almost 4 weeks now.
It might just be a coincidence, but it’s kinda strange that I stopped getting replies right after I brought up the 'free option.' I would really appreciate it if Box.com/org could get in touch with me to wrap up the setup.

"Overall, I'm really happy with Box."
To kick things off, this review focuses on Box.com for cloud storage and syncing, which you can spot by its logo. It looks like a couple of other reviews might be about a totally different service.
I've got the Free version of Box on my laptop and the Android app, giving me 10 GB of space. After I installed the phone app, they kindly bumped my storage up by another 5 GB.
I mainly use Box to move files between my laptop and phone. No more messing around with cables; the syncing is fast and seamless.
When I use Box on my computer, it pops up in Windows Explorer. This makes it super easy to create folders, copy and paste files, move or delete stuff, and do other things. Honestly, I think it’s better than Drive, and the cherry on top is that it’s not linked to Google!
